South Yorkshire Walking Football Network Forum and FREE sessions

Age UK Sheffield is collaborating with Sheffield United Community Foundation, Sheffield Wednesday Community Foundation, Yorkshire Sport Foundation, Community Wellness Service and Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA to increase engagement with local communities, encourage people to get involved in physical activity and enhance mental and physical wellbeing.

Age UK Sheffield are offering an opportunity to discuss a different topic at the forum every month. Sport is for everyone and participation is welcome from any local organisation and people of any age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, postcode area or religion.

The first meeting will be held on Monday 29th November from 1pm–2pm . The topic for discussion is : How can we encourage female participation in Walking Football and other sports which have historically been male dominated?

FREE taster sessions for any of the current Walking Football sessions across the city are taking place at the following venues:-

Springs Leisure Centre Tuesdays 10am
St Georges Park Thorncliffe Tuesdays 2pm
St Georges Park Graves Wednesdays 11am
Concord Sports Centre Wednesdays 2pm

Anyone is welcome to attend whether as an individual or as a group and no experience is necessary! If you currently run a group and would like to book a session for your participants please do get in touch.
