Social Work England Are Looking for Experts by Experience

Social Work England will be the new, specialist regulator for all child, family and adult social workers in England. Their main objective will be to protect the public by setting the standards for social workers, ensuring they meet those standards, are fully qualified and remain fit to practise.

They want to be an open, honest, transparent and fair regulator and need people who have lived experience in relation to social work ( Experts by Experience ) to help them to develop the organisation and challenge them to achieve that ambition.

You can be involved from the start in setting up their Expert by Experience Advisory Group helping to shape and design how the group will work, its roles and responsibilities and frequency of meetings. If you’d like to take part please come along to the first meeting.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
