From October 1st 2016, following the recent tender by Sheffield City Council, Shelter will be delivering a new service, offering housing support across the city.
The new service will deliver effective, tailored support to over 300 individuals and families, to prevent homelessness, enable them to resettle into a new home and to support households who have been affected by domestic abuse.
The service is an amalgamation of the current Shelter Homeless Prevention and Resettlement Service, the Shelter Homeless Families Service and the work previously done by Nomad in Burngreave and Action Housing’s DA Housing Support Service. Clients will also be able to access other Shelter Hub Services, including the Advice and Legal service.
Professionals can refer into the service by completing the referral form ensuring the client has consented to the referral, and return via email to Sheffield_hub@shelter.org.uk or to send referrals to Shelter’s secure email address please use sheffield.hss@shelter.cjsm.net
Referrals can also be made over the phone, or you can refer yourself to the service by visiting one of Shelter’s drop-in sessions which run from October 1st on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am – 1pm at Shelter’s Furnival gate offices, at Unit 28, Furnival House, Furnival Gate, Sheffield, S1 4QP.
