Sheffield Cycling 4 All’s Made a Great Impact

Sheffield Cycling 4 All’s Made a Great Impact

We’re excited to share Sheffield Cycling 4 All’s Impact Report for 2023-24! This year, our project has reached more participants and supported health, wellbeing and community connection through accessible cycling opportunities.

Highlights from the report:

  • 562 Disabled People came to our cycling sessions in 2023/24, more than 50% come at least once a week
  • 90% of participants reported improved mental and physical wellbeing
  • New partnerships and ideas expanded our reach, creating even more inclusive cycling opportunities

Cyclist Sally commented “I never thought cycling would have such a big impact on me. The sense of achievement has been quite startling. I didn’t realise how much I needed this in my life!”

We invite you to read the full report on Sheffield Cycling 4 All’s website

In the coming years we plan to run sessions at new times, in new locations and offer different types of cycling. We aim to reach a wider audience to ensure more Disabled People across South Yorkshire have the freedom to choose to cycle. Having recently secured another 4 years of funding, we are excited to make these plans a reality!

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
