Sensory Vaccination Clinic Date for Teenagers

Sensory Vaccination Clinic Date for Teenagers

Do you have a child with additional needs who has not been able to access their teenage Covid vaccinations? If so the Sheffield Children’s Vaccinations and Immunisations Team are holding a relaxed sensory session for children with additional needs and their families.

You don’t have to book, just drop in to The Concord Sports Centre, Shiregreen Lane, S5 6AE on Saturday 5th March 9.30am to 3pm

Call the Sheffield Children’s Vaccinations and Immunisations Team on 0114 305 3230 or email scn-tr.sheffielddutysn.vacandimm@nhs.net to ask any questions or talk through your requirements. They say :

“This is a unique opportunity to familiarise yourself with some of our friendly team and Play Specialists, in a non-clinical, relaxed environment where support can be tailored to your needs.

“We will have the time available to provide information about vaccinations, listen to any concerns and introduce you to the environment and process. There will also be an opportunity to be vaccinated on the day, if your child is comfortable with this. We will also be on hand to support you with any challenges around accessing all adolescent (including COVID) vaccinations on a one-to-one basis.”

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
