Disability organisation Scope has teamed up with Virgin Media in a bid to get a million people into work by 2020. Their Work With Me campaign highlights problems that disabled people have in finding and keeping jobs. Its goal is to shift employer attitudes, inspire policy change from businesses and government and give disabled people advice, skills and confidence to get a job or stay in work.
As part of their campaign Scope has recently launched a new digital employment service , called Support to Work , which offers online support to disabled jobseekers via telephone, Skype and text. Employment advisers offer advice on employability skills, writing a CV and interview techniques. Your personal adviser will create a 12-week action plan hopefully designed to help you succeed in the jobs market.
To register for Support to Work you will need to create a Scope account to work on your action plan, see your appointments or send a message to your advisor.
Spaces are limited, and it’s not right for everyone so if you need further information call Support to Work on 0300 222 5742 or email supporttowork@scope.org.uk .
