Pyjama Drama: What a Performance!

Pyjama Drama: What a Performance!

Our Sheffield Voices self-advocacy drama group, funded by the Arts Council England, has developed a play ‘Welcome to Sunny Smiles Care Home’. It’s about the best ( or possibly the worst ! ) care home around and we are showcasing our play on 4th May at 5.30pm – 6.30 pm at the Showroom Workstation, 15 Paternoster Row Sheffield . Doors open at 5pm. It would be fab to see some of you there!

If you have a learning disability and want to learns some acting skills we are also looking for new participants for our next adventure starting on 13th May. We will meet once a week on Fridays from 2-4pm. Pyjama Drama is a free self-advocacy drama group funded by the Arts Council to support people to have a voice about things that matter to them in a creative way. Apart from growing in self-confidence, one of the great things about our drama group is that it brings people together who might never have met each other. So many of the group have become friends and we love to see that at Sheffield Voices as that’s what its all about, connecting! View poster

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.
