Patient And Citizen Leaders Programme

Patient And Citizen Leaders Programme

The NHS Leadership Academy Yorkshire & Humber in collaboration with Altogether Better is running a three-day programme for patient and citizen leaders. The purpose of this new programme is to provide a development opportunity for patient & citizens who want to make a difference and who are working with people and services across the NHS and wider health and care system. For example this might be within NHS Trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups, universities, Strategic Partnership Groups or with organisations like Healthwatch. Participants will become part of a new patient/citizen leader network in the Yorkshire and the Humber region.

There is no cost to take part and no formal experience or qualifications are required. In return for a place on the programme they are asking participants to give their time to share, learn, be curious and to take the learning back into their local NHS organisations in order to influence and make a difference to how things happen locally, regionally and beyond.

The programme will take place over 3 modules on Tuesday March 24, Friday April 24 and Tuesday June 2. All are from 9.30am-4.30pm and take place in central Leeds. You can find out more or join up by looking at this link .

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
