New Independent Living Clinic

An occupational therapist will demonstrate and try equipment with you at a new independent living clinic that’s just opened its doors at Manor Neighbourhood Centre.

That’s just in time for National Occupational Therapy Week ( 4 – 10 November. ‘The power of occupational therapy – transforming health and social care’ is the title of this year’s campaign. Part of the campaign is for OTs to direct people to their What is Occupational Therapy page.

All referrals to the clinic can be made by contacting Sheffield City Council’s Equipment and Adaptations service on 0114 2734709 (10 – 12 and 2 – 4 pm Mon to Friday) and people suitable for the clinic will be contacted, offered an appointment and given directions.

Sheffield City Council’s First Contact team can also take referrals and discuss any possible equipment and care needs with you on 0114 2734908 ( Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm .

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
