The Move More project aims to see meaningful improvement in the health, wellbeing and quality of life of everybody living locally.
However their website states that “The world we all live in doesn’t make being physically active very easy – in fact, it’s easier to move less than it is to Move More!”
The project also realises that having any type of impairment can make it even more difficult. That’s why Move More has organised a special event celebrating inclusive sport on Thursday March 28th at the English Institute of Sport, on Coleridge Road, Sheffield, S9 5DA . People of all ages are welcome and admission is free for anyone with a disability.
The day will include activities such as wheelchair basketball, cycling, tennis, dance, racerunning, cricket, athletics, football, bowling, golf, boccia, and curling. Most of the coaches at the event are from local clubs, which will enable participants to explore the wealth and variety of sports and exercise available in their community.
The event has been organised with support from Sheffield City Trust and Within Reach, which aims to engage more disabled people of all ages in sport and physical activity.
