More We Belong Webinars

As previously reported , Disability Rights UK’s ‘We Belong’ engagement campaign has got off to a flying start. The campaign is an opportunity for all of us, as disabled people, to come together, to consolidate our thoughts about what the future should look like for us, what we need to live, and what we need to thrive.

DRUK are receiving your emails telling them what needs to change and have have held four online discussion groups with excellent contributions from disabled women and disabled people from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups.

Discussion sessions are planned throughout October on a range of topics, if you wish to sign up to take part:

Employment, 1 – 2.30pm, Wed 7 October:
Eventbrite

LGBTQIA, 6 – 7.30pm , Thurs 14 October
Eventbrite

Transport, 12noon – 1.30pm, Thurs 15 October

Alternatively send your views about the changes you want to see to webelong@disabilityrightsuk.org

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
