Local PSP Group Meetings

The PSP Association (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association) known for offering support and information to people living with PSP and CBD (Corticobasal Degeneration) holds monthly meetings for people with PSP or CBD, carers, family members and friends. As well as offering guidance, support and encouragement the group offers a warm and friendly welcome.

The primary aim of the group will be to provide support and friendship. By supporting each other, attendees can help one another to tackle any issues that may lie ahead. It is a chance for people with PSP/CBD to meet other people in similar situations, carers to share helpful advice and for family members to chat to each other and realise they are not alone.

The group meets on the first Tuesday of every month, starting November 1st from 2 – 4pm at Meeting Room 3, Ponds Forge, International Sports Centre, Sheffield, S1 2BP. Those using SatNav to travel to the venue are advised to use the postcode S1 1AA. if you are interested but can’t make this event, have travel problems or just want to know more, feel free to contact Joan on 07970883270 or email: joanweatherington@btinternet.com. More information about the group is on the PSP Association website .

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
