Local Area Committees Launch - Survey Seeking Disabled Peoples' Views

Local Area Committees Launch - Survey Seeking Disabled Peoples' Views

Recently, the city council has launched the new Local Area Committees (LACs) and they are keen to hear your views, on your local area. This will guide the work of these committees and it is important Disabled people have their say. The survey closes on Sunday the 31st October and can be found here.

One of the most important things that some committees will do is create Local Plans and this is a great place to raise issues you face. That might include difficulties in getting around, or access to services. Feel free to share your answers with us! Email james.martin@disabilitysheffield.org.uk

There are also introduction videos on LACs that you can watch here:
Introduction video with BSL or,
Introduction video without BSL

Finally, if you, or someone else wishes to respond to the survey and do not have internet access then please call 0114 222 2222 to submit a response.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
