Launch of the UN CRPD Shadow Report

Launch of the UN CRPD Shadow Report

UPDATE: Read the key findings and show your support by signing the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Disabled People Shadow Report . This
report was put together by Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations ( including Disability Sheffield ) led by Inclusion London. The deadline for signatures is 12pm on the 27th of March.

In November last year we held two UN CRDP consultation events to help shape the next shadow report in preparation for the next examination of the UK under the UN Convention of the Rights of Disabled People (CRDP) .

You are invited to join the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Disability at the launch of the UN CRPD Shadow Report on 22nd March at 3 pm.

The event will look at the evidence gathered by Disabled People’s Organisations in the UK and discuss how the government can ensure it implements the Convention when developing and implementing its policies.

If you are interested in attending please, register by following this link

Captioning and BSL interpreters will be provided at the meeting.

Here’s a link to further information about the project.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
