Know What to Say If You Are Ever Refused An Assessment?

Campaigning organisation CASCAIDr ( the Centre for Adults’ Social Care – Advice, Information and Dispute Resolution ) provides free and low cost specialist legal advice services for adults with pressing public law legal problems standing in the way of their rights to health or social care services.

CASCAIDr operates online in a ‘virtual space’ and uses self-employed caseworkers who are informal experts in the Care Act, and health, social care and human rights law in general. It works alongside barristers doing direct public access work and solicitors from affiliated law firms offering free pro bono work.

It’s useful to know that CASCAIDr offers some online legal guidance and Self Help suggestions of What to Say in various situations including what to say if you are told that you are not eligible for assessment.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
