The social model of disability has long argued that we are disabled by society’s barriers – of behaviours, attitudes, cultures, structures and environments. To stimulate debate and consider ideas which may work for new generations of activists and for new situations and challenges Disability Rights UK ( DRUK )have published two pieces which discuss both the merits of the social model and the ways it could evolve. The ideas published are not DRUK policy – they are ideas to stimulate debate. They want to hear your thoughts and suggestions about the social model of disability so please comment on the blog.
