Inclusion North News

Inclusion North, an organisation set up to help people with learning disabilities and autism and their families feel more included in society, has released its latest bulletin.

The bulletin includes information on an exciting new course entitled ‘Leading Together for a Change!’

The course starts in March and aims to bring together young people, family carers and professionals to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with a learning disability, autism or both.

There are also details of two events taking place in March and April concerning the young mortality of many people with learning disabilities and the problems with healthcare that can sometimes cause this.

A new guide aimed at supporting people who want to move out of assessment and treatment units is also included in the bulletin.

The full bulletin can be seen here.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
