Healthwatch Sheffield Want to Hear from More People of Colour

Following the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and emerging data that people of colour (POC) are dying from the disease at disproportionate rates, the Government released a detailed report titled Beyond the data: understanding the impact of COVID-19 on BAME groups.

To explore this issue and promote further dialogue on how the city can address health inequalities, Healthwatch Sheffield have published interviews with four people of colour who share their own thoughts and experiences.

Healthwatch Sheffield hope that these interviews will start a wider discussion in Sheffield about the impact on local people and what can be done in response.

Healthwatch Sheffield would like to hear from more people of colour and you can share your thoughts here. .

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
