The Government’s Women and Equalities Committee has launched three new inquiries drawing on evidence to their inquiry Unequal impact: Coronavirus and the impact on people with protected characteristics inquiry
The three sub-inquiries call for further evidence and one of them looks specifically at the impact Coronavirus is having on disabled people and access to services explaining “In this sub-inquiry, we want to look in more detail at ways of easing some of the problems disabled people are facing when they need access to essential services during the pandemic. We’ll look at access to food, health and social care and education. We also want to think about how the Government could improve its communications and consultation with disabled people about guidance and policies that are having substantial effects on their daily lives.”
The committee wants to hear your views. They welcome submissions from anyone with answers to the questions in their call for evidence.
