Future Ready Hub

Future Ready Hub

Are you young, disabled and ready for the future?

Possibly not but don’t worry, because campaigning organisation Disability Rights UK has come up with something which offers options to learn about all things employment and education-related, to support people through their post-16 options, and let them know their rights.

The Future Ready Hub includes resources, access to a Disabled Students Helpline, personal stories from other young disabled people, and more.

Users can also sign up for a Future Ready Newsletter and get helpful advice and exciting opportunities sent by email every month.

If anyone would like to be involved with Future Ready, in ways like submitting personal story, asking a relevant education and/or employment question or providing feedback, you can email youngvoices@disabilityrightsuk.org

Disability Rights UK is one of the UK’s leading Disabled People’s Organisation (DPO) led by, run by, and working for disabled people.

It works with other DPOs, public bodies, businesses and Government across the UK to influence regional and national change for better rights, accessibility, benefits, quality of life and economic opportunities for disabled people. It has also recently set up a TikTok site.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
