Festival Of The Mind is back in Sheffield this month, offering more unique views into all aspects of the human brain.
The fourth festival takes place from September 20-30 at a variety of venues across the city, as a collaboration between academic experts and creative cultural talent.
Among the health-related events taking place is a talk entitled In And Out Of Hospital, based on the experiences of people with life-limiting conditions. This takes place on the first day of the festival in the specially-erected Spiegeltent on Barkers Pool as does Health Between The Wars on Monday 24th, which looks at the chaos of health provision after the World War One and the ways in which it led to the creation of the National Health Service. An exhibition based on the In And Out Of Hospital. talk will also be on display at the Millennium Galleries for the first week of the festival. Here i teh Festival’s programme of events .
