Celebrate Carers Week from 5 - 11 June

Carers Week is an annual national awareness campaign to celebrate and recognise the vital contribution made by the UK’s 6.5 million carers. The campaign also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access support.

During the week Sheffield Carers Centre will be raising awareness of caring, highlighting the challenges unpaid carers face and recognising the contribution they make to families and communities.

Have a look at their programme of events. including activities, workshops and training and the launch of a video highlighting the benefits of businesses helping carer employees.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
