Call For Sheffield Health And Social Care Volunteers

Sheffield Health And Social Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking for volunteers to work with their staff (pictured) and to help with their work in treating patients who need in-depth support.

The Trust, which provides a range of help for people with long-term physical and medical problems, is particularly looking for people with long-term neurological conditions (LTNC) to take part in work with the Neuro Enablement Service, the Neuro Case management Service and Sheffield Community Brain Injury Rehabilitation Team. By registering as a volunteer with the trust you will have access to the trust’s in house training programme, including volunteer induction training.

There is also a volunteering role based at the LTNC Upperthorpe site which is about looking after visitors to the building and providing support to the admin team, and this role is not specific to people living with a neurological condition.

If you are interested you can email christopher.redgate@shsc.nhs.uk or telephone 0114 271 6950.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
