Beware Cost of Living Payments Fraud

Beware Cost of Living Payments Fraud

You may have seen in the media that there has been a significant increase in scammers attempting to obtain personal information by sending out texts suggesting that people are eligible for cost of living payments.

Please remember that if you are eligible for a cost of living payment

  • you will not need to apply for the payment
  • you will not need to call the DWP
  • the payment to you is automatic
  • the DWP will never ask for personal details by SMS or email.

If you are unsure about a text you should report it on GOV.UK

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
