Autistic Parents Experiences of Maternity Hospitals

Autistic Parents Experiences of Maternity Hospitals

The Sheffield Autism Partnership Network (SAPN) has been asked to talk to autistic parents to hear about the things they would have liked to have known prior to their visit to any maternity hospital/ward. The responses to the questions will help in the creation of a ‘Welcome to Jessops Hospital’ video, which is being commissioned.

The Network would like to hear from Autistic parents, partners and their carers and give you the opportunity to share your maternity experiences.

If you would like to take part please consider these three questions and email your responses to Melissa Simmonds, Adult Autism Project Coordinator at m.simmonds@vas.org.uk

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
