Amber Cold Health Alert

Amber Cold Health Alert

The UK Health Security Agency has issued an amber alert for all of England from midday on 2 January to midday on 8 January.

Colder temperatures can have a serious impact on the health of people aged 65 and over and people with pre-existing health conditions. The agency has published guidance for the public on staying safe during periods of cold weather.

You can also visit the NHS website for advice on keeping healthy this winter.

It is a good time for everyone to check in with friends, family and neighbours to make sure they have enough food and medication and can keep warm.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
