Adult Social Care Strategy Meetings

Adult Social Care Strategy Meetings

Would you like to have a say in the implementation of Sheffield’s new adult social care strategy?

The strategy, titled Living The Life You Want To Live has been approved by the Council’s Cooperative Executive after discussions with a wide range of individuals and groups between late 2020 and early 2022. This included people who receive care and support, their carers, and communities, and people who work in adult health and social care.

There are some upcoming opportunities to hear about the strategy, what it covers and how it has developed so far as well as to contribute to developing the first delivery plan.

Those meetings will take place on the Microsoft Teams app on the following dates:

Thursday 21 April from 3-4.30pm
Monday 25 April from 10.30am-noon
Tuesday 26 April from 1-2.30pm.

You can email charlotte.murrie@sheffield.gov.uk if you would like to attend one of these sessions (all sessions will be the same).

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
