A Big Thank You from Sheffield Voices

Sheffield Voices self-advocacy group for people with learning disabilities and autism would like to thank everyone who came to, shared, and told their friends and work colleagues about their Big Voice event on 27 June at the Town Hall.

They were thrilled to have over 100 people attend including friends from Rotherham, London, Sunderland and more! Please expect a full report to be shared once they have have gone through all the feedback and input they received, but do check out their
Facebook and pictures from the day.

Sheffield Voices has released its latest newsletter to let you know what activities they held in June. Among the items covered are preparations for their Big Voice event, the Humanising Healthcare project, cost of living and money management workshops and an article on Pride month.

If you would like a digital copy of their Newsletter and/or to become involved with Sheffield Voices or with any of the events mentioned on the newsletter you can email them at info@sheffieldvoices.org.uk

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
