Disabled Access Day 2016 will take place on 12th March – encouraging disabled people to visit somewhere new and encouraging venues, organisations and services to be more accessible. The day invites venues to get involved by running special offers or putting on accessible events or activities on 12 March – whether that’s a British Sign Language interpreted cooking demonstration or an open day giving people an opportunity to explore a venue’s accessible facilities and services. The day is sponsored by Euan’s Guide , the disabled access review website and app. All events that are taking place on the day will be listed on the access guide ensuring that it’s easy for everyone to find relevant access information when planning their day. There are events all over the country, with several taking place in Sheffield. View website. Check out offers and events in Sheffield by searching here . Events include The Leadmill, Kelham Island Museum ( where Disability Sheffield will have a stall )and the Tropical Butterfly House.
