  • Could you be a member of Sheffield’s Independent Advisory Group on policing?

    South Yorkshire Police are recruiting to the Independent Advisory Group (IAG) which aims to discuss the impacts of policing on different communities and look at ways in which the police can improve the policing service to the diverse communities within Sheffield. SYP has IAGs in all four districts and to become a member of the Sheffield IAG, you must be aged 16 or over, live or work in Sheffield and not be employed within the policing family.

  • Invitation to Independent Direct Payment Support Service Meeting

    Sheffield City Council have agreed to adopt our proposals for an Independent Direct Payment Support Service. We would therefore like to invite people in receipt of a direct payment, family carers and colleagues in the council and CCG to a meeting on Tuesday 11th July from 10.15am to 12.15pm at Quaker Meeting House, to help us refine what a specification for such a service will look like prior to it being commissioned in the Autumn.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
