    It’s been announced that 16 & 17 year olds are now eligible for their first Covid-19 vaccination and don’t need parental consent to get a vaccine. The group can’t book via the national booking service but will be contacted by the NHS or can attend a walk in centre.

    Chilypep Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners

    Some staff at Chilypep , a youth empowerment charity based in Sheffield ,are training to be CWPs and are now open to referrals for children and young people in Sheffield and Barnsley who may be experiencing low level anxiety or low mood.Chilypep have produced an information Letter for Children and Young People explaining the offer of 6-10 sessions of low intensity CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).

    A new online hub has been launched to help young people into work and training. Inspire_SY has been set up by Sheffield City Council, backed by the local Department Of Work And Pensions to share training, job and support opportunities from businesses and partner organisations .

  • Young Carers' Petition Calls For Free Bus Pass

    Young carers in Sheffield have set up a petition calling for free bus passes for young carers so they can undertake their caring responsibilities more easily, carry on with their education, training or employment, and have the chance to have a social life.The petition will be presented to the full council meeting on Wednesday February 6th.

  • BFI Film Academy 2018-19 Applications Now Open

    The BFI Film Academy are recruiting twenty young people aged 16-19 to take part in the academy at the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield from Wednesday 7th November until Saturday 26th January. The deadline for applications is Tuesday October 23rd at midday.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
