    Healthwatch England, National Voices and the Patients Association England have responded to new guidance to GP practices across the country on facilitating more face-to-face appointments for patients who need it. Healthwatch England is also calling for a ‘radical reform’ of dentistry to create more equitable and affordable dental care.

    Young women who have autism are invited to take part in a new series of free online sessions starting on June 8th to July 13th designed to improve wellbeing and creativity. The workshops offered by Access Space will help participants explore and practice techniques such as breath work and meditation and will also give the chance to share experience.

    During ‘Volunteers’ Week’( 1 – 7 June ) we are proud to be celebrating the contribution of our volunteers to the work of Disability Sheffield – whether that is with Sheffield Cycling 4 All, Sheffield Voices, delivering PPE, our advocacy and information service, engagement and influence work or as a trustee. Particularly during the past year of the pandemic we would not have been able to support and engage with so many disabled people without them.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
