Introduction to Green Social Prescribing and Nature Connectedness

The sessions, funded by South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board, are held at venues across South Yorkshire from June ’23 to March ’24, and designed to boost the skills of people who are working in a variety of community-based roles. These include Link Workers, Social Prescribers, Community-based workers and people from the wider Health and Social Care professions.

‘Here to Hear' Bereavement Helpline

A Multi-Lingual and Multi-Faith Bereavement helpline set up by the DiverseCity Development Trust, the helpline is a listening service for anyone in the Sheffield area struggling to come to terms with loss and grief. The helpline matches callers with someone who speaks the same language or has a similar background.

#Speak Up Grant Applications Now Open

Sheffield Healthwatch has announced the latest round of their #SpeakUp small grants scheme. This year Sheffield Healthwatch are looking for 4 voluntary or community sector groups or organisations to work on projects with a grant of £2,000, on issues in health and social care that are important to them which capture the views and experiences of the people they support. The deadline for applications is 9am on Monday 5th June 2023

Prepayment Meter Latest

Ofgem has announced that all British domestic energy suppliers have signed up to an updated Code of Practice and tougher Ofgem oversight of the forced installation of prepayment meters, strengthening protections for customers in vulnerable situations. Citizens Advice and Ofgem have opened a phone line to support the national evidence call to ask energy customers to share their experiences of moving to a prepayment meter.
