Sheffield Voices 'Big Voice' Conference

After a year of ‘We speak, You Listen’ events we want to come together as a community to celebrate so please join us for our fun, interactive, all day conference at Sheffield Town Hall on the 27th of June from 10-3pm, with lunch included! This event is for people with a learning disability and Autistic people living in the Sheffield area. You can come as part of a group, or by yourself. Everyone is welcome.

Call for Cyclists to Volunteer

Do you love cycling as much as we do? We are looking for some new Cycling Session Volunteers to help out at our Sheffield Cycling 4 All sessions in Hillsborough Park. Our project enables anyone to enjoy cycling, whatever difficulties or disabilities they face. We are a people led organisation committed to providing Sheffield with regular and active inclusive cycling sessions.

We Speak, You Listen

Disability Sheffield’s learning disability and Autism group, Sheffield Voices, is holding their next ‘We Speak You Listen’ event at Hillsborough Arena on 26th May from 10am-2pm including lunch (provided).This month we are doing a session around the Cost of living and how it is impacting the learning disability community, as well as talking about the Learning Disability Strategy for Sheffield.

COVID-19 PPE for Individual Employers Post March 2023

The Disability Sheffield COVID-19 PPE Service will be ending on 31st March 2023. From April 2023, Individual Employers will be able to access COVID-19 PPE by registering with the NHS PPE Portal. PPE ordered from the portal is free of charge until 31 March 2024 or until stocks are depleted.

Our Toolkit and 'Mystery Shoppers' Help Accessibility

Our Healthy Living and Physical Activity Project network has now launched their free toolkit online to help make community healthy living and physical activity groups and facilities more accessible to adults with autism, learning disabilities and severe mental illness. The project also supports mystery shoppers to try out activities and give feedback.
