Vaccinations for PAs

Booster Vaccinations
The COVID-19 vaccination national booking service is now open for all frontline health and social care staff to book a booster vaccine appointment through self-referral. This includes Personal Care Assistants.

From 24 September, Health and Social Care Worker (HSCW) staff will be able to book their appointment online here or by ringing 119.

As part of the booking process, you will need to self-declare you are a frontline health or social care worker.

Vaccinations
From 19 April people who are employed as Personal Assistants providing frontline social care can again book a vaccination through the national portal.

Vaccination is a key tool in keeping your staff and their colleagues and families, the people they support and the wider community safe. If some of your staff have doubts, you may find it useful to steer them towards these trusted sources of information:

  • Vaccination does not remove the need to have infection controls in place, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), good hygiene and social distancing. You should also continue to follow the requirements for testing and self-isolating.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
