June is Motor Neurone Disease Awareness Month

This June is Motor Neurone Disease Awareness (MND) Month 2017, and Euan’s Guide, the disabled access review website reports on stand out MND awareness campaigns as well as ways in which you can get involved throughout the month. Euan has MND and you can read his blog about Life with MND here .

This year, Motor Neurone Disease Association has launched their #MyEyesSay campaign which “shares stories of real people whose lives have been shattered by MND,” and invites you to see the world through their eyes.

As Euan’s Guide reports, campaigns have been going on elsewhere in the world too, “In May, MND Australia launched their #LifeMeasuredInMoments campaign which shares a series of videos about people touched by MND.”

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
