Healthy Living : Carers Focus Group

Healthy Living : Carers Focus Group

Our new ‘Healthy Living’ coproduction project aims to make Sheffield community based physical activity, exercise and health groups more accessible to people who are autistic, have a learning disability or live with severe mental ill health.

As part of our research we are very interested to hear about the experiences of carers when trying to accessing such services. We’d like to know more about any barriers you’ve faced and your ideas for improvement.

If you would like to have your say and/or be part of the discussions please join us at our focus group for carers which includes lunch.

WHEN: Tues 24th May 2022
10am – 12pm
WHERE: The Blend Kitchen,
197 Ecclesall Road, Sheffield
S11 8HW

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
