Health & Wellbeing Board Engagement Event

Sheffield City Council have announced their Health & Wellbeing Board Engagement Event. The event will shed light on the ‘Shaping Sheffield’ project, which claims to offer a “place-based plan for health and care services.” It is taking place on Thursday 8th December 2016, from 4.00 to 6.00 pm in the Town Hall Reception Rooms.

This public event will hear from members of Sheffield’s Health & Wellbeing Board on plans to redesign the health and care system in Sheffield. The Shaping Sheffield plan forms one part of the South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw response to the NHS Five Year Forward View and successful delivery will be a critical part of maintaining a sustainable and high quality local health and care system.

At this event you will hear from local system leaders about the context for and content of the plan, and have the chance to discuss the opportunities and challenges involved.

Places at this free event are limited so please book your space early via Eventbrite by clicking here.

The preliminary agenda for the event is as follows:
Shaping Sheffield – the plan, its context, challenges and opportunities (20 mins)
Q&A (20 mins)
Round table discussions, facilitated by Health & Wellbeing Board members (40 mins)
Feedback and plenary discussion (30 mins)
Wrap up and Close (10 mins)

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
