Free Digital Security 2nd Workshop

Do you employ a PA? If so…

Do you know your responsibilities as an employer with regards to processing your employees data?

Do you know how to protect yourself from cyber fraud?

If you answered no to either of the above, you may find our digital security workshop beneficial!

*WHEN
Wednesday 13th December
Quaker Meeting House
10 St James Street, Sheffield S1 2EW
1.00 pm to 3.30 pm
Lunch provided!

Sirinda Bhandal, in association with Disability Sheffield, ran a Digital Security Workshop in November which identified key risks individual employers and personal assistants face when processing data and in looking after their own personal data.

This second workshop will provide practical steps to help prevent you from becoming a victim of cyber crime and help ensure your compliance with current data protection legislation (GDPR).

Please come along to find out what you need to do to protect you and your employees.

During this session we will
• Inform you of your rights as an individual with regards to data protection legislation (including GDPR)
• Provide good practice advice to ensure compliance with data protection legislation
• Provide you with sample policies and practical implementation steps
• Help you stay safe online, steps to take to help protect yourself from cyber crime
• Provide advice on how to protect your devices and software

This workshop is only open to individual employers and PA’s. Please let us know if you would like to attend by emailing Tess Daly .

Please also advise if you require any particular help on the day.

The materials produced from this workshop will help us create a creature comforts style animation to inform employers about the risks and we need your feedback.
Come along to find our more.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
