Disability Hub Meeting - Come along!

Disability Hub Meeting - Come along!

The next Disability Hub meeting will take place next Wednesday, 25 September 2019 from 2.00pm to 4.00pm at The Circle, 33 Rockingham Lane Sheffield S1 4FW.

The Disability Hub meeting is one of the ways in which disabled people can have a greater say on the services and businesses disabled people interact with locally. By providing a platform for disabled people to represent their needs together it is hoped we can strengthen the move towards a more equitable society, where disabled people enjoy the same opportunities as everyone else.

This meeting will give members a chance to talk about a number of issues important to them in the city. From Social Care to Independent Living you can catch up with the four priority strands of the Disability Hub and think about actions and activities the Hub can organise to create awareness and change on issues around housing, transport, employment and social care.

Please find attached agenda and notes the previous meeting.

We hope to see you there and please spread the word. If you are attending and if you need any reasonable adjustments or support to attend (including travel expenses reimbursement) please contact Brett at Sheffield City Council on 0114 273 5861 or by e mail brett.shaw@sheffield.co.uk

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
