Telling Your Story Can Make A Difference

Telling Your Story Can Make A Difference

Everyone has a story to tell – and for disabled people sharing their story can help anyone who may be in a similar position.

So to mark National Storytelling Week from January 30th to February 5th, a charity representing people with visible differences or disfigurements is urging people to share theirs.

Changing Faces says: “Real stories are at the heart of our campaigns for equality and help us reach more people from across the visible difference community.”

You can join in and also find out some tips for storytelling here.

Changing Faces has a Sheffield branch, based at The Circle on Rockingham Lane in the city centre. You can contact them by emailing support@changingfaces.org.uk

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
