Engagement Network Launch

Engagement Network Launch

Want to have your say? Make your voice heard! Disabled people make up around 20% of the population but our voices are often passed over by people in charge. Disability Sheffield wants this to change – we’re launching a new engagement network to take disabled people’s voices directly to decision makers.

At our launch event we’ll be reviewing Sheffield City Council’s new personalisation and direct payments strategy and making direct payments work for us!

You have a choice of sessions on Wednesday 7 June but please attend one session only:

Session 1: 3.30-5pm

Session 2: 5.30-7pm

Location: Showroom Workstation, Paternoster Row, S1 2BX

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
