Carers Action Plan Launch: 10.30am - 12.30pm

Tuesday 12th June

This event will be the first time since the Carers Strategy was developed, that there’ll be a single plan for Sheffield setting out how all the key agencies in the city will deliver the strategy within their own agency.

This is an important milestone for ensuring that the Carers Strategy makes a real difference.

This event will also be the launch of the new ‘hub’ for carers to have their say, linking it to the action plan. The idea is that there’ll be meetings about three times a year, where carers can hear about progress on implementing the strategy, ask questions, say what they think should be happening and generally have their say.

This event takes place at the Sheffield Carers Centre, Ground Floor East, Concept House, 5 Young Street, Sheffield, S1 4UP.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
