Sheffield Mind has been providing mental health services to people in Sheffield for over 40 years. We offer a wide range of services, projects, groups and courses around the city as well as services that people with a personal budget can purchase. The current services are as follows, please go to our website or contact us for more information.

Budget Management Service – this service deals with the financial side of your personal budget starting when your support plan and budget have been agreed.

Counselling and Psychotherapy Service - we offer one to one counselling and psychotherapy and one to one and group art therapy and movement therapy.

Connect 3 Housing and Accommodation Service - we provide floating support to adults who are at risk of losing their homes due to mental health issues. Key workers help service users to build confidence and skills for living more independently and to improve and better manage their mental health. We also provide short term tenancy support of up to 6 months to clients who have housing related difficulties arising from a mental health issue.

Springboard - these are regular drop-in cafes held at 5 different venues around Sheffield - Broomhall, Burngreave, Manor, Chapel Green and Parson Crioss. The sessions provide opportunities for people to talk oabout the issues they are dealing with and get advice and support from the staff and volunteers that host the meetings. Sessions are fre eto attend and there are organised activities that users are welcome to participate in

Support and Recovery Service – provides one to one support as part of your personal budget (or it can be self funded). We can provide you with support to help with most aspects of your daily life and the support can be tailored to what you need.

Other seervices include - bereavement support, a physical activity-based programme, dementia-friendly activities and peer support social groups. See website for full details.

Training - we deliver a full training schedule on a range of topics and include Workplace Wellbeing and Mental Health Awareness. We also offer bespoke training for organisations and groups. See website for full details of our current programme.

Volunteer Programme - We sometimes offer volunteering opportunities. All volunteering vacancies are advertised on our website

Qualifications & Quality Standards:

All staff are Enhanced DBS checked, have experience of working with people with mental health issues and receive specialised in-house training. Holds Employer and Public Liability Insurance. We are a listed provider on the Mental Health Recovery Framework. we hold the Mind Quality Mark.

Sheffield Mind is an independent charity (charity number 276108) and was set up in 1971. We are part of a large network of over 170 local Mind associations across England and Wales which are affiliated to Mind nationally (www.mind.org.uk).

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
