Excell For Training @ Chesterfield Community Care Farm have been providing care services for over 2 years.

The farm operates as an activity centre for adults with learning or other disabilities, with support provided by personal carers or our qualified support workers.

Attendance at the farm is arranged by contacting us directly, we will arrange an assessment of needs and provide suitable support if needed. Clients can make self-referrals or be referred by social workers, brokers, or other professionals. There is a daily charge payable by the service user or by the local authority. This can be paid from benefits, by using Direct Payments, or from a personal budget.

In keeping with the continual care needs of the livestock on site, the community farm is not artificially restricted to short daytime or weekday operating hours. The operating model of Chesterfield Community Care Farm is more person-centred, providing a service as and when it is preferred by clients.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
