The University is committed to inclusion and equal opportunities and welcomes applications from disabled students. Our role is to explain what support is available and to facilitate its delivery. We use the disability information students provide in their application to let them know how best to set up their support.

Sheffield Regional Assessment Centre

Sheffield Regional Assessment Centre (SRAC) provides Study Needs Assessments for Disabled Students either on, or entering onto, Higher Education courses at any University or College. The assessment centre also runs a Disability Outreach Scheme within the region, providing independent information and support to students, parents, carers, schools and colleges within the South Yorkshire Region. The scheme aims to support students through the transition period from further to higher education with the aim of raising disabled learners' aspirations, giving them the confidence to apply for higher education.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
