St Wilfrid’s is a day centre for homeless, vulnerable and socially excluded adults (including people with mental health issues, autistic spectrum disorders or learning disabilities). The Centre is available to people aged 18-65 years and aims to offer a quality service that gives support to help people feel better about themselves and improve their quality of life. St Wilfrid's has Recognised Provider Status (RPL) for their social, cultural and learning opportunities, befriending and advocacy services.

Services provided:

At St Wilfrid's you can take part in lots of interesting and varied activities including:
• Allotment gardening 
• Art activities and crafts
• Computers
• Cooking
• Digital photography
• Drama
• Literacy
• Maths and numbers (numeracy)
• Singing
• News & Views discussion group
• Pottery
• Relaxation
• Sewing
• Women’s Group and Men's Group
• Workshop - work as a team to produce woodwork, sign-making, printing and much more

There’s also lots of help from the Welfare team:
• Advice and information
• Advocacy for established clients
• All day café (at extra cost)
• Befriending
• Citizens Advice referrals
• Friendship
• Games
• Housing Support
• Meals (at extra cost)
• Signposting to other services

• Help to build self-confidence & self-esteem

• Information, advice & guidance
• Help being part of your community
• Life skills

• Volunteering Opportunities

• Finding and Applying for Jobs
• Support at interview

You can be referred to the service by your worker (e.g. support worker, social worker or project worker). If you don’t have a worker please call St Wilfrid's to talk about coming to the Centre.

Qualifications & Quality Standards:

All frontline staff and volunteers have DBS checks. St Wilfrid's has the "Two Ticks award" for assisting disabled people into work and are recognised as "Investors in People". St Wilfrid's Centre has Public Liability, Employers Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
