The New Crisis and Resilience Fund

A new Crisis and Resilience Fund ( CRF ) has replaced previous grant schemes such as the Household Support Fund and Discretionary Housing Payments. It is a non-repayable grant funded by the UK Government and is delivered by local authorities.

A Crisis and Resilience Fund Crisis Payment helps to prevent crisis, by supporting low-income households with essential costs such as food and energy.

There are organisations in Sheffield that can help you to apply. They are called Trusted Assessors. Many also provide a range of support including help with money and debt, and community activities.

You can also apply for the CRF Discretionary Housing Payment and or Council Tax Hardship Scheme to help you pay your rent or council tax.
