Registering to Vote Reminder
Sheffield City Council elections will take place in May 2026. You can vote in person , by post or by proxy.
If you’re not already registered to vote you can register online on the Government website. It includes information in Easy Read.
The deadline to register is midnight on 20 April.
The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on 21 April.
The deadline to apply for a proxy vote is 5pm on 28 April.
To vote on the day, you will need to take a physical copy of photo ID with you to the polling station.
