Online Safety Beyond Words
Word-free books are an accessible format for people with intellectual disabilities and communication difficulties.
Learning Disability Today news reports that Surrey-based charity Beyond Words has launched two new word-free books. ‘Being Safe Online: Amy’s Story’ and ‘Ben’s Story’.
They are about keeping safe online, setting boundaries, protecting personal privacy and when to ask for help if you feel unsafe, while still recognising that the internet can be used to have fun and interact with others.
